Suplyd raises $2 million pre-Series A to build next-gen restaurant infrastructure
- Egypt-based digital procurement platform Suplyd has raised $2 million in a pre-Series A round led by 4DX Ventures, Camel Ventures, and Plus VC, with participation from Seedstars and existing investors.
- Founded in 2022 by Gohar Said, Karim Selima, and Ahmed ElMahdy, Suplyd digitises the procurement supply chain processes for hotels, restaurants and cafes (HORECA). Through its platform, restaurants can buy stock directly from suppliers.
- Since its 2022 pre-seed round of $1.6 million, Suplyd claims to have grown 20x and now serves over 5,000 restaurants, delivering operational tools and simplifying inventory and backend workflows.
- The new funding will help Suplyd expand beyond procurement, develop new services, and deepen its footprint across Egypt’s restaurant ecosystem.
